Job Description

CIM are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer (x1) to expand an onsite production support service we provide our client  at their biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in south county Dublin.
This is a contract position which offers excellent rates and the opportunity for a long-term placement.
This is a shift position. The successful candidate shall join our team which provides 24/5 front line support cover i.e. 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. The engineer’s shifts are organised on a 3-week cycle, comprising of a rota of 3 days, 3 nights and 2 days & 2 nights. These are 12-hour Day (07:00-19:00) & Night (19:00-07:00) shifts, operating Monday to Friday.
Our client operates an aseptic drug product operations facility, specialising in secondary manufacturing activities Formulation, Vial/Syringe Filling, Lyophilisation and Packaging. There is a strong culture of continuous improvement and innovation within this company to strive for solutions that improve health outcomes and dramatically improve people’s lives. This company is developing the capability to produce all of its medicines in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin, helping to ensure continuity of supply of our medicines as we expand internationally.

Duties Include

·  Provide real-time front line support to the production group on their manufacturing/IS systems.

·  Document and track resolution of issues and tasks.

·  Aide the identification/implementation of system improvements and corrective actions.

·  Aide the coaching of operators and maintenance technicians in the effective use of the control systems.

·  Manage and execute change controls for continuous improvement projects.

·  Execute and document preventative maintenance tasks performed on the automation systems.

Ideal background

·  Minimum five years automation experience, preferably in the Life Sciences sector

·  SCADA experience with preference for Rockwell FactoryTalk View & Batch / InTouch / iFix

·  PLC experience with a preference for Rockwell ControlLogix / Siemens controllers
