Position Description: This role requires the incumbent to be proficient in designing and building modern data pipelines and data streams within the Azure framework. One of the key attributes of this role is to understand existing business processes and practices, identify opportunities and implement solutions leveraging Azure data and analytics PaaS. Should be well - versed in building data solutions using Microsoft Azure data components, pipeline tools and SQL/NoSQL coding best - practices and standards with very good analytical ability, problem solving skills, agile approach, communication skills, prioritization and task management. The incumbent is required to champion various data orchestration projects at an individual as well as team level. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Designing the data engineering solution on Azure Cloud platform Microsoft Azure Backend resource with experience in development/support focusing on designing, developing and integrating applications within the Azure Framework and overall technology experience. Expose data to end - users and data consumers using Azure APIs and data visualization platforms, particularly Power BI, with strong focus on data pipelining Good experience for orchestrating ETL/data migration to cloud using on premise and/or cloud data sources Facilitate the development of ETL and Data Architecture best practice (e.g. documentation standard), guidelines (e.g. code reuse), strategies and help to promote the viability/usefulness of the solutions Experienced in soliciting and documenting business, functional and data requirements, context/variable diagrams, use cases and ETL related diagrams Job Requirements: Must have hands - on experience in Developing ETL/ELT solutions using Databricks with Python and Spark SQL Deployment using DevOps(CI/CD) ADF for orchestration Azure Data Storage Components such as BLOB and Azure Data Lake Implementing ETL solutions using Azure SQL DW, Azure SQLDB, Polybase SQL Good understanding of Azure AD concepts, Authentication concepts, Data Security concepts Should have thorough understanding of data - lakes, raw/enriched/curated layer concepts and ETL within Azure framework Strong in data governance, master data management and data quality and maturity processes Soft Skills: Should possess a general flair to understand evolving data landscape, the change in data systems and their influence in the enterprise data ecosystem Have a formidable understanding of the nuances of on - prem vs cloud solutions Excellent team player and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders internally and with clients Have excellent written/spoken communication skills, client engagement, presentation and negotiation skills Should be versatile, have self - drive backed by a strong mentorship, coaching and leadership aptitude Must have the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements Ability to communicate and foster positive working relationships with all levels of management and company personnel Excellent meeting facilitation and training skills Ability to work in fast paced environment with proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and tasks Ability to make decisions and solve problems, while working under pressure Good to have exposure in Understanding on Data Science and AI/ML Leveraging components like Azure Automation, Azure Power Shell Scripting, AzCopy Cosmos DB and Cognitive Services C#, .Net Power BI Reporting Qualifications Must be an MCA/BE/BTech/MTech/MSc (IT)/MBA (Systems/IT) or any Master’s degree from a recognized institute.
