Job Description

Job Role:

  • Responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining a scalable and high performing Informatica solution (Power Center 8.6.1,9.x) in support of business processing requirements.
  • The Informatica administrator is responsible for working with a global team to implement new etl processes, across multiple Data warehouse
  • Experience in maintaining the groups, users, roles and permissions for accessing Informatica Managing the deployments of Informatica objects.
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to Informatica software packages.
  • Experience in working with Linux, Shell Scripting, Oracle, Teradata, DB2 on UDB, Messaging Queues.
  • Responsible for maintaining Informatica systems and the runtime environments
  • The ability to work on a team, communicate effectively, and provide a liaison relationship between technology and business will be key factors for success
  • The candidate should be a self-starter and should be willing to work in fast paced organization
  • Strong design & development background with demonstrable implementation experience
  • Ensure the overall health and performance of Informatica to include performance tuning, environment reliability and availability, and system recoverability from Hosting point
  • Diagnoses and resolves application bottlenecks and performance issues.
  • Install, configure, and administer the Informatica platform for maximum utilization and throughput.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Informatica+, demonstrating expertise in Data Quality, Metadata Manager, Informatica Reporting Services
  • Has a strong knowledge of security framework within Informatica (specifically INFA 9.5.1).
  • The candidate should be able to work in overlap shifts and be able to provide on call support for business continuity.
  • Establish and maintain an interface with Third party security provider (LDAP for authentication. Define and govern the entitlements and authentication strategy.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and tune ETL processes. 10. Work collaboratively with technical staff, and business experts to develop solutions to business requirements and client problems.

  • Should be able to communicate clearly with business and be able to create strong documentation for recommended approach.
  • He/she will have ample learning opportunities and a platform to work on emerging technologies.
  • Technical certification on Informatica
  • Certified in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • Unix knowledge and Advanced unix scripting
  • Control-M Knowledge
  • Experience delivering numerous informatica administration within the strict timelines
  • Experience in developing Service Oriented Architecture based solution

Job Requirements:

  • Should have worked in the informatica administration  projects and should have hands on experience in Informatica Power Center 9.5.1 and Data quality
  • Ideal candidate should have 5 yrs exp in informatica administration min 3 yrs of exp in Oracle and unix
  • Candidate should have worked on core informatica administration projects.
  • IT Project Delivery using Agile  Methodology
  • Complete Software Development Lifecycle experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with external Vendors & outsourced projects
  • Proven ability to work with people from different cultures
  • A high level of intelligence; ability to operate not only on the basis of important past experiences, but in the light of the approaches and developments that occur in the market.
  • Experience decomposing complex problems into component parts for effective problem solving
