Supervises the day to day activities of Research Editors.


A. To effectively allocate all types of cases amongst his/her team of RAs and ensure that a full and complete report is delivered by, if not before, the deadline date in the absent of the RS.

B. To undertake an initial quality control review of all the reports produced by the RAs in his/her team and to give feedback and guidance to the RAs in relation to any omissions and/or errors found. To fill in quality review spreadsheet for each case reviewed.

C. To monitor such errors and/or omissions which arise during the review stage and liaise with the Manager in relation to any training needs his/her team of RAs requires, and assist with the re-training of his/hew RAs as required.

D. To monitor and periodically review workload management and highlight any areas of concern to the Manager and assist the Manager in identifying a solution to the area of concern.

E. To identify new sources of information available online and to generally identify means and methods on how the quality, delivery and timeliness of the Research team’s reports can be continuously improved.

F. To suggest and assist in improving the operations.

G. To personally handle all types of reports.

H. Acting as a deputy and/or understudy to the Manager

2.   Team Management

A. Motivate, guide and communicate with the team, ensuring they are focused, updated and directed effectively at all times on all operational and non-operational matters

B. Perform informal appraisals, as and when required, address any staff issues directly, such as punctuality, dress code, etc., with the assistance of HR, and identify individuals that are not performing to standard. Implement measurable development plans for individuals that are not performing, with appropriate goals to be achieved within set timescales and the necessary follow-up action to be taken.

C. To assist in training and coaching research staff.

D. Ensure a succession plan is implemented where exceptional performers are identified and groomed for promotion

E. To assist Manager in formulating a career development plan for all the RAs in his/her team which should easily demonstrate the career progression available at the Company, and to generally develop a team of RAs which would address succession planning issues and ensure the continued functionality of the department at all times. Particular attention to be given to team members that have been with the company for 12-18 months.

F. To maintain, update and manage other administration/HR functions in relation to his/her team of RAs and/or the Company, such as, but not limited to, the screening and interviewing candidates, collating, administrating and managing effectively all leave applications, absence management, punctuality and dress code, training and development, etc.  Escalate to the Manager any such instances where a breach of HR policy or other such policy of the Company is made by an RA in his/her team and suggest the appropriate action necessary to remedy such a breach.

3.   Miscellaneous

A. To interact with the other Senior Analysts and Managers in India. To develop a good rapport and sound working relationship with them through workload management.

B. To complete Ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Senior Manager / General Manager.

Required Skills:

Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Accounting / Business Administration / or Experienced Graduates/equivalent.  Must have a high standard of spoken and written English.  At least one year of experience in a similar capacity is preferred.  Must be conversant with computers and experienced in using the Internet and Microsoft Office tools. Foreign language skills are desirable.
