Software Asset Management Analyst

Maintain SW contract scope in Asset management tools and update missing ownership information by contacting DPE and close SW Instances Without defined contract scope alerts Understand IBM software licensing model to validate and initiate procurement for missing entitlements and close alerts received in ticketing tool Obtain necessary approvals from management regarding software procurement on time to make appropriate changes in SW tools and archive the approval artifacts in databases to ensure service health and audit readiness. Ensure complete software details are stored in Software contract manager tool (SWCM) or relevant tools within 30 days of the PO release. Keep a track of all deployed softwares that will be expiring soon and obtain necessary approvals to initiate SW renewals on time. Ensure all software assets that are deployed are with appropriate licenses and used as per IBM global software asset management policies and guidelines. Address compliance issues and exceptions through internal compliance management processes Generate reports on SW usage, SW renewals, SW licenses etc and circulate to management. Understand ISV (Independent software Vendor) software licensing model to validate and initiate procurement for missing entitlements
