We have an opportunity for a Test Automation Developer for Omaha, NE, for one of our top financial global clients, The individual must be looking for contract to hire, unfortunately client will not sponsor, must be hire-able after 6 to 12 months (Agencies are welcomed). Person we are looking for will interview on phone, take test and then interview in-person. Major responsibility will be to ensure adequate testing of development code prior to release to production. The QA Engineer will work with an Agile team. The focus of the QA will be to ensure all changes to applications are tested adequately, test plans and test cases are by company and government guidelines. The QA will be responsible for using all test management tools according to standards.
Work as a member of the order management web delivery team, participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning and task estimation - Partner closely with delivery team peers to ensure user stories are refined and in a ready state for sprint planning - Analyze stories to determine testing needs - Perform manual and exploratory tests with the primary goal of automation - Design, develop and maintain reusable automated test scripts - Develop test strategies, plans and procedures that deliver efficiency and a high degree of test quality - Develop and implement testing assessments and test metrics, then document and communicate results with the goal of continuous improvement - Report defects found and work to resolve issues with the developers during the sprint. - Work with deliver manager and delivery team peers to ensure the correct testing tools are used effectively - Work collaboratively with members of enterprise quality assurance groups - Provide regular updates and work progress and attend all Scrum ceremonies - Mentor and train other testers - Be an advocate of test automation for the organization - Performance testing experience nice to have

Interview process: 1st Interview is 30-minute phone screen with hiring manager. If positive outcome, a testing exercise will be sent to candidate for posting on Github. If testing exercise is successful, a 2nd technical panel interview will be scheduled in Omaha, NE. Local candidates are strongly desired. Full-time opportunities will only be considered after on-the-job performance has been evaluated.
