Reporting to the
IT Director, the System Administrator is responsible for resolving technical problems and
answering queries by telephone in support of internal customer computer
hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems. He/She maintains
and updates records of issues/calls, alerts management to recurring problems
and patterns of problems.System
Administrator will analyze and solve complex problems, follow critical
instructions with attention to detail, actively listen to customers and creatively
solve problems in a fast-paced environment.He/She will need to be skilled in maintaining high quality customer
service while managing multiple conflicting priorities. Thorough follow-up and
documentation on all customer or technical issues is essential.
·Standard system administration duties including server install,
System/Application install and patch management, Windows problem determination
and escalation, log analysis, etc.
·Configure, test, and maintain LAN equipment and services,
including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN.
·Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems including
network connectivity, traffic utilization, etc. using available network tools
in a timely fashion.
·Provide Infrastructure services in all areas needed: storage
networking, Operating System, network security, directory services, server
virtualization using system backup and restore, system and network monitoring,
application installation and configuration
all network, computer, and any other IT issue. Prepares operating instructions,
compiles documentation, and analyzes infrastructure capabilities to resolve
questions or future issues.
·Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to
server and network topology, equipment, and configuration(s).
·Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or
on-call availability as needed.
·Assist with monthly reports and recommendations for Managed
·Interact daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups
Desired Skills: IT certifications including Network+
Security+, Microsoft Certifications, MCP and or MCSA, CCNA
Education: Bachelor’s degrees from an accredited
college in a related discipline
